Omaha Public Schools site for all news related to school bond projects.

Prairie Wind Elementary School

The new fire main line has been installed. Electrical construction work has started on the fire alarm system and the card access system is ongoing. The fire sprinkler work is ongoing.

Saddlebrook Elementary School

The Bond Scope of Work is limited to video intercom. This project will be closed out after District completion in late August 2015.

Saratoga Elementary School

The Bond Scope of Work is limited to video intercom. The Work is scheduled to be complete by December 31, 2015.

Skinner Elementary School

The Architectural selection process has been completed for Planning Area B schools (Adams, Benson West, Central Park, Conestoga, Dundee, King, and Skinner). Carlson West Povondra Architects has been selected to perform Design Services. The Schematic Design submittal will be completed in October 2015 and the bid date will take place in the first part of December 2015.

South High School

The project is currently in the Schematic Design phase. The design team is performing final field site visits in order to develop the detailed project scope of work.

Springville Elementary School

The Bond Scope of Work is limited to video intercom. The Work is scheduled to be complete by December 31, 2015.

Standing Bear Elementary School

The Bond Scope of Work is limited to video intercom. The Work is scheduled to be complete by December 31, 2015.

Sunny Slope Elementary School

The Schematic Design documents are currently under review. The presentation to the Board of Education is scheduled in September 2015.

Wakonda Elementary School

The Bond Scope of Work is limited to video intercom. This project will be closed out after District completion in late August 2015.

Western Hills Elementary School

The Schematic Design submittal is expected to be complete in late September 2015. Swing space options are being reviewed and evaluated at this time. Forecasted cost projection is (Over) budget due to demolition costs, site development costs, additional space programing requirements for new building, and cost per square foot differential. Sampson Construction was approved to be the CM At Risk contractor July 6, 2015.
