Omaha Public Schools site for all news related to school bond projects.

Ponca Elementary School

Construction work is ongoing throughout all areas of the building. Interior and exterior demolition work is approximately 90% complete. Footing and foundation work has commenced in the revised main entry. Interior stud framing work is ongoing throughout the classroom wing. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-in work is progressing. Roofing work has commenced and is approximately 40% complete. New window installation work has started.

Prairie Wind Elementary School

The new fire main line has been installed. Electrical construction work has started on the fire alarm system and the card access system is ongoing. The fire sprinkler work is ongoing.

Rose Hill Elementary School

The scope of work consisted of video intercom at the main entry and has been completed.

Saddlebrook Elementary School

The scope of work consists of video intercom. This project will be closed out after completion in Fall 2015.

Saratoga Elementary School

The scope of work consists of video intercom. The work is scheduled to be complete by December 2015.

Sherman Elementary School

The scope of work consisted of video intercom at the main entry and has been completed.

Skinner Elementary School

The Architectural selection process has been completed for Planning Area B schools (Adams, Benson West, Central Park, Conestoga, Dundee, King, and Skinner). Carlson West Povondra Architects has been selected to perform Design Services. The Schematic Design submittal will be completed in October 2015 and the bid date will take place in March 2016.

South High School

The project is currently in the Schematic Design phase. The design team is performing final field site visits in order to develop the detailed project scope of work.

Spring Lake Elementary School

This project has not been started. The planned design phase start date is October 2015.

Springville Elementary School

The scope of work consists of video intercom. The work is scheduled to be complete by December 2015.
